To make the game more unique and interesting, we've thrown a twist into how pack/pride hunts may be performed. The Prey user account can be accessed by all members of the board, either for individual hunts, or for group hunts. This makes it more realistic, and gives the thread quality roleplaying opportunities because a player controls how the prey reacts, making it more of a challenge.
- The person to propose the hunt may play the Prey themselves or ask for a volunteer.
- Whoever plays the Prey has the option of whether or not they want their real character to participate in the actual hunt (if it is a group function). If they wish to exclude them and focus on Prey alone, they can ICly have an excuse or other duty to perform instead (with the leaders' permission, of course).
- Hunts will follow the Three-Dodge system, making it unpredictable, more challenging, and longer-lasting.
- Of course, this also means that not every hunt will be successful. The person playing Prey can choose how quickly it ends.
- If you choose to use this system, feel free to link to the threads you’re using it for so everyone else can keep track and enjoy the show!
- If you wish to play Prey, you will need to include (with your initial IC post) this simple form somewhere in OOC text:
Species:
Gender:
Advantages: (example - size, speed, antlers, etc)
Disadvantages: (example - injury {specify}, elderly, diseased, etc)
This will guide the direction of the hunt to be more realistic and fun. Of course, you don't have to use the Prey account at all. Leaders may choose to use this system and assign someone to play it. Or they may require one-on-one hunts to better evaluate skills and worthiness. Either way, without further ado, here are the account login details:
User - Prey
Password - huntme
WARNING! Abuse of this system will result in immediate account termination and possibly the removal of the Prey System entirely.
