Name: Scyphon
Clan Name: Evangili Pride
Claim Post: Acacia Trees & Bouncy Balls: Claiming Evangili
Membership: Integral (felines welcome; canines, few exceptions)
Rank Information/Requirements:
King/Ekwueme: The Ekwueme is the head of the Pride. Loyal to his Queen, they cooperate and rule as a team. He is the head of the warrior band; acquires the title of Ekwueme, African Igbo for ”He says, he does.” Not only does this translate into his title as King, it translates into his integrity of his word. His title as head Warrior is Kamau, Kenyan for ”Quiet Warrior.”
Queen/Nosizwe: Her title, as Queen, is Nosizwe, “Mother of the Nation.” (her nation, of course. ^^) If the King is not present during times of war, or during a hunt, she will take his place, and his title until he returns. If he does not return, she assumes his title and duties to the Pride.
Advisor/Uzoma: The Uzoma can be either male or female. The duties include advising the King and Queen in matters of war, internal issues, marital issues between the couple (though the King and Queen do not have to be lovers, it is expected of them to bear offspring. Plenty of issues are bound to come up.) The title of Uzoma translates from African Igbo to ”Travel the Right Road.” The advisor is pretty much an all around counselor for the Pride. Anyone can seek advise from the Uzoma. Whoever takes this position must be able to handle the high stress of this job.
Attendants/Taonga: The Attendants are important characters. They tend to the kind and Queen, assisting them in whatever they may need. They also give advise, but cannot be as bold and honest as the Advisor must be. They are treated well and should be quite friendly and entertaining, and if they are good friends with the King and Queen, that would be great. They often multitask for both rulers. Given the title of ”Taonga” or ”We are thankful.”
Hunters/Abuto: The Abuto MUST be swift and quiet on their feet, dangerous and assertive. The hunters are very powerful and bare a lot on their shoulders. They provide for the entire Pride, and often spends days away on hunts. More often than not, they come back with some sort of food. It is rare, especially in the Acacia Jungle where prey frequently traffic that there is nothing to find. If all else fails, they fish. If that is not an option, they are forced to follow prey into neighboring territories. If this is necessary, either the Queen or King will join the hunting party. All three hunters gain the title of ”Abuto” or ”I have hidden.”
Warriors/Abrafo: The Abrafo are sent to patrol the borders and go out on missions when violence seems to be the only answer to an issue. They sometimes assist the hunters on the larger hunts. Warriors go into battle when necessary, led by the king. If there is no King, the Queen acquires this title, whether she likes it or not.
