Subforum - African Village
The supreme mother and guardian of the land. This great river feeds many of the tributaries that wind through the whole savanna, forming the occasional oasis at times. It is a glorious sight, for all that its waters become frequently muddy from constant travel and use. Prey tracks can be found along its shores, and many animals will risk facing a crocodile or hippo to cool off in its murky depths. In the worst of summers, it can recede to a thin, barely flowing stream. But after the rainy season and through most of the year, it is a crucial and beautiful element to the struggling wildlife of Mirage.

Sub-board: African Village

Flowing expanses of orange-gold flora stretch, it seems, to the very ends of the earth. The occasional cavernous cliffs can be found here and, eventually, the grasses dissolve into a rolling sea of sand dunes. This area is quickly growing after the wildfires that devastated the lands. An oasis graces its center, providing shade, water, and green vegetation. Prey have returned to feed here, and rogue predators are likely to find a meal if they are patient enough.

Caliber Pride - Rivet
A very rugged terrain. The rocky underfoot gives it an almost primitive look. Sharp rocks and sneaky crags are hidden beneath the grasses, so one must learn to be careful. The safest routes are marked by continual use, either by prey or the predators that choose to reside there. Straying from these places can be hazardous. Not all of the plains are so precarious, though. There are milder fields in the surrounding areas where one can rest peacefully in the sun or seek out the shelter of its sparse trees.

Unclaimed Pack Territory.
Dragonflies buzz around the swampy growth. Reptiles disguise themselves in the muck and mire. Birds twitter and chirp from every branch, drawn toward this area of abundant insect life. While the marsh is not the most pleasant sight to behold, it is a treasure trove for scavengers and those who wish to avoid attention. But beware the mirthless mud pits; once they snag a wayward foot, the very earth will try to pull you under, though sometimes this works in favor of a hungry predator looking for an easy meal.
